Stillness and Liberation:
A Virtual Silent Meditation Retreat
Experienced in the comfort of your own home and led through a series of live and pre-recorded videos and reading materials.
“The quieter you become the more you are able to hear.” - Rumi
We treasure this life and yet we rarely can hear ourselves think. We are constantly being bombarded and absorbing information at a dizzying pace. Between phones, televisions, audiobooks, and computers, when do you have time to just turn off and breathe?
Ripe in the 21st century when stillness and silence are harder to come by, and haste and fast-paced living keep us constantly bouncing from one task to another; what would happen if you just sat and were to be? What would come up for you in the spaces between? The spaces between your thoughts. The spaces between your breath. The spaces between your heartbeat.
The work of stilling the monkey mind is not easy but it is transformational and liberating.
Join Hawah Kasat, a gifted yoga and meditation teacher of over 20 years, and an award-winning author, documentary filmmaker, non-profit leader, and TEDx speaker, as we plunge, excavate, and explore the depths of silence and solitude together. He promises to guide you with a culturally sensitive soft touch and a big compassionate heart toward the bounty of silence.
Please note, that during most of this virtual retreat participants will be encouraged to take a vow of noble silence where there is no writing, reading, or talking. There will be certain hours of the day when writing will be permitted and Q&A will take place.
The days will be filled with guided and seated meditation practice, pranayama (breath work) practice, dharma talks, mindful eating, mindful walking, and very light movement.
EXPLORE THE DEPTHS OF SILENCE
"Know from the rivers in clefts and in crevices: those in small channels flow noisily, the great flow silent. Whatever’s not full makes noise. Whatever is full is quiet."
~ Buddha
